It only takes a moment for a plus soul to become a hollow. Kanonji knows that better than anyone else. That knowledge had been hard won, and casts a shameful pall over him even now, but he is a better man for having learned it.
Kanonji continues his show for the reasons he told his #1 pupil, but he is careful not to aggravate any more ghosts. He would like to send them on to a better place but he doesn't have that power. He only has the power to see.
And he doesn't know yet how that power can help.
